Recently, the studio spent several months tracing the same leaflet. First, it was cut into 100 small squares, each enlarged to A3 size and meticulously traced with crayons. Strawberries, pork, discounted figures, blocks of red and yellow. Tracing left hands aching and crayons snapping, scattering wax shavings everywhere across the desk, leaving it grubby. After completing all 100 sheets, we reassembled them. From a distance, it remained the same flyer; up close, it revealed 100 instances of labour. The reverse proved even more intriguing. Serial numbers, smudges, traces of wax crayon residue stuck fast. All the repeated hours and chaos remained imprinted upon it. Supermarket Flyer(Premium) poster 841mm × 594mm, folded into quarters Color printing on both sides 先日スタジオでは数か月かけて同じチラシを模写した。 まず100の小さなマス目に切り分け、各マスをA3サイズに拡大し、クレヨンで丁寧に描き写す。イチゴ、豚肉、割引の数字、赤や黄色の塗りつぶし。描いていると手が痛くなり、クレヨンは折れ、机の上はクレヨンの粉だらけでめっちゃ汚れた。 100枚描き終えた後、それらを再び組み立てた。遠くから見れば相変わらずのチラシだが、近くで見れば100回労働の跡に変わっていた。 裏面はさらに興味深い。番号、汚れ、付着したクレヨンの粉。繰り返された時間と混乱のすべてがそこに刻まれていた。
